Who’s who

Broker Finder is a trading style of Collect Compare Ltd (“we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales, company number 16514658. We are an introducer — not a lender or mortgage broker. We do not give financial advice, we do not arrange mortgages, and nothing on this site is a recommendation of any financial product. We may receive an introductory fee from brokers on our panel. All brokers on the platform are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

Part one — for consumers

The service

  • You answer a questionnaire anonymously; we match your case against our broker panel; you decide whether to be introduced to a broker, and to which one. The service is free for consumers — always.
  • We introduce; brokers advise. Anything about products, rates, affordability or suitability comes from the FCA-authorised broker you choose, under their regulatory responsibilities, not from us.
  • A match is not a recommendation. It means a broker’s stated specialisms and coverage fit your answers. Checking that a broker is right for you is part of your conversation with them.

Your part

  • Answer honestly — matches are only as good as the answers they’re built on.
  • Use the service for genuine enquiries about your own (or your household’s) mortgage needs.
  • Once introduced, dealings between you and the broker — including any fees they charge — are between you and them. Brokers must set out their fees clearly before you commit.

Our liability to you

We run the platform with reasonable skill and care, but we’re responsible for the introduction, not for the advice or products that follow it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited (like liability for fraud), and nothing affects your statutory rights.

Part two — for brokers

Joining the panel

  • Panel membership is open to firms authorised and regulated by the FCA with permissions covering regulated mortgage business. We verify your FCA reference against the Financial Services Register before your profile goes live, and we may re-check it at any time.
  • You confirm the information in your profile (specialisms, coverage, pitch) is accurate and kept up to date. Profiles that oversell get edited or removed — the panel’s credibility is the product.
  • We may decline or remove any firm from the panel where we reasonably consider it necessary to protect consumers or the platform — for example loss of authorisation, a pattern of complaints, or misuse of leads.

Leads and payment

  • A billable lead is a revealed introduction: a consumer chose your firm from their matches and their contact details were released to you. Matches and shortlists are never charged.
  • Your first three revealed leads are free. After that, each revealed lead is charged at the per-lead rate agreed at registration (shown in your dashboard before you can receive billable leads).
  • Billing is weekly in arrears by automatic card charge via Stripe, with an itemised invoice for each charge. You must keep a valid payment method on file to receive billable leads.
  • Dud-replacement guarantee: report a revealed lead with a wrong number or no genuine enquiry within 7 days and, on review, we’ll credit a replacement. The guarantee covers dead leads, not leads that chose another firm after speaking to you.
  • You can set a monthly lead cap, pause matching, or leave the panel at any time from your dashboard. Charges already incurred remain payable.

Using leads properly

  • Leads are for your firm only — reselling, sharing or transferring a lead’s details is prohibited and grounds for immediate removal.
  • Contact revealed leads promptly and professionally, and honour their stated contact preferences. You are the data controller for details released to you and must handle them in line with UK GDPR and your own privacy notice.

The website itself

  • Content on this site is general information, not advice, and may change without notice.
  • Don’t misuse the site: no scraping the panel, probing the platform’s security, submitting false questionnaires, or impersonating others.
  • The Broker Finder name, fox artwork and site content belong to Collect Compare Ltd — please don’t reuse them without permission.

General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts). If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged on the site, and continued use after that means you accept them.

Questions about these terms: hello@findbroker.co.uk. If something has gone wrong, our complaints page explains how we put things right.
